FI Group kick off local organisation for Graphene Week 2026 in Porto
2DNeuralVision has begun organising Graphene Week 2026 as one of the host projects, with FI Group leading the local committee and Dissemination & Communication efforts.
Preparatory meetings were held in Porto, Portugal, at the Super Bock Arena and FI Group’s facilities, alongside the event’s organising committee and regional partners.
Who was around the table
The meetings were attended by:
- The organising committee from Chalmers University of Technology;
- The local committee, led by 2DNeuralVision through FI Group, with representatives from INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, HyCarb and Graphenest – Advanced Nanotechnology.
Why it matters for 2DNeuralVision
As a Horizon Europe project and Graphene Flagship partner, 2DNeuralVision develops the enabling photonic and electronic integrated circuit components for a lowpower, anyweather, anylight computer vision system including a 2Dmaterialsenhanced widespectrum image sensor and an optical neural network. These advances target highimpact applications across automotive, AR/VR, robotics, and mobile devices.
Being a host project and helping lead the local committee at Graphene Week 2026 gives 2DNeuralVision a powerful platform to showcase results, connect with industry, and contribute to Europe’s strategic autonomy in 2D materials and semiconductors.
